PocketPath PDA

PocketPath™ Mobile Access to Pathology Diagnoses

Psyche Systems' PocketPath™ Mobile Access is specifically designed to allow physicians to access diagnoses for completed anatomic pathology cases via a Pocket PC or Windows Mobile personal digital assistant (PDA). PocketPath gives physicians immediate, point-of-care access to complete and accurate case diagnoses from the WindoPath anatomic pathology information system, enabling them to better serve their patients.

Once s/he has securely logged in, the physician can search for completed cases by patient name, date-of-birth, collection date or social security number. The doctor can then select which case s/he would like to view from a list of all matching cases. PocketPath only allows the physician to view diagnoses for specimens associated with his/her completed cases to ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of the patient's test results.

A surgeon, for example, could dock her Pocket PC to her office PC in the morning before she begins her rounds and download all her completed cases from the previous day. As she meets with patients and their families throughout the day, she has at her fingertips diagnostic results that will help her make decisions about treatment, order additional tests and quickly and easily answer questions to help her patients better understand their medical concerns.

At a time when physicians are increasingly expected to do more with fewer resources in a shorter amount of time, they can't afford to wait by a printer or a fax machine or even a telephone for important test results. Today, doctors are constantly on the move, spending more time with more patients. PocketPath mobile access enables them to do just that.
